375-mile clue

Solution: Schroon Lake, NY (Adirondack Marathon)

Note: We also see, on the bibs 87 (a reference to I-87 and 74, the road that runs east past Eagle Lake and to the Ti Ferry.

Apparently, this is the final online clue. The “final” clue is essentially the physical sign, already found.

25-mile radius? No.

Also, after the 375-mile clue is solved, we see:

Correction by Dodge on Twitter: When you solve the 5th clue vid it gets you within 375 miles of the Journey, not 25 as was written. More to come. Stay tuned.

Physical Clue, across Ti Ferry in VT

As reported earlier (bejones, 2:24pm), across the Ti Ferry into VT on 74, just before turning south on 73, a sign that reads:

This isnt the end
Its only the beginning
We cant wait to share
Where we went next
the journey is within 350 miles from here

Advanced clues (9/23, 10:00pm)

Picture #1 – Malta Drive In Theater, Malta, NY

Notes: The Dodge Journey is north bound (and the bikes are there, just blurred because of the Journey’s speed)

Could this be a reference to Paradox, NY? Paradox Lake? Conflicting directions as a Paradox? Pair of Docks?

And for direction (VT side, looking towards NY):

  1. According to Google Maps, exit 19 is 2 hrs and 30 mins from the ferry and it’s taken them 2.5 hrs to go thru the slideshow. I don;t think your really supposed to “Guess EXACTLY” where it is, I bet they lead you to its’ shiny red 4 door yumminess.

    • After this form of watch our family vacation slideshow torture … that’s the least they could do. It’s going to be a race in the morning 😦

    • You’re a trooper Jon. I don’t think, in our wildest dreams, they could have pulled this. (I’m sure everyone had expectations of somewhere near the last two searches)

  2. Clearly…this is a very poor plan ‘C’,,,most likely contrived by the crew a couple of days ago. There’s no way they could have filmed anything new…but driving around and tking pictures, that would be no problem and not noticed by anyone. At this point following the slide show, one town at a time, is ridonkulous. The video clues were not connected at all to this search. The fun part was watching the video and deciphering those clues…not watching a crappy slideshow and figuring out which way they go based on road signs…really!!?..any 5 year old can do that!

    • but wait…. there’s more!!!
they need to wake up Michael C Hall and record a few extra voice overs by phone…
this silent slideshow $#!T is gonna make us bonkers….
      back at 9a EST…
good luck to all those still on the hunt..

  3. I thought the slideshow was actually a clever way to get us through VT and into NH.

And, as I kind of thought, they would not carry this on tonight into the dark hours for safety / legal reasons.

Sweet dreams, everyone. And, remember the TK Bridge.

If not that, then reaching the Atlantic Ocean sometime tomorrow afternoon is my 2nd guess.

  4. So, here’s the thing. They’re going to start the slideshow again tomorrow, when everyone that is still in hunt should be well on their way to the last stop in the slideshow, where they’ll have to sit back down and watch more?? Ack!

      • Roads in VT were very bad. Repaired somewhat, but large potholes and torn up sections. That, and many, many BAD BAD drivers who were passing on double yellows, cutting us off, tailgating, and the whole 9 yards. No prize is worth a car crash.

      • Wow. You’re the first I’ve heard from that got there. Can’t believe they have more of this nonsense planned for the morning. Where exactly did you end up? (and thanks for checking in)

    To those driving, Stay safe.

  6. 500 mile Journey. First 110+ miles get us to through the video hints, and down to the 73/74 split and the slide show (Note that the Journey ends within 350 more Miles). They take us another 100 miles tonight in 3 hours. Tomorrow, we have 250 or so miles left to go. Hmmmm….

  7. so with the sign that Dodge put up when you get off the ferry in VT, it states that the journey is within 350 miles, 350 miles from that sign could be Portland, ME

  8. maybe it’s bad weather… or a planning miscue… or a last minute production change… but i hope with the night to work out a better solution than a slideshow… we get something fun and exciting for the finale….

    not a barn….
and please God, not another state policeman… ha

    • Hi Ed. As a general FYI – the clues have always been radius clues. Max distance as the crow flies.

I almost shudder at the thought of that though. No idea really at this point. What they’ve done today has me baffled. Everyone, I’m sure, expected something along the lines of what we have seen in the last two searches. So to get everyone tout and start exploring (like last Saturday), dragging out the clues for most of the day, and then, after a long day, show them more travel will be required (while they’re trying to get some rest), and knowing there may be more travel tomorrow … and then, sending them all the way back, just cruel (of course, sending them far from their arrival point, can be viewed equally the same). Suffice it to say, I’m conflicted 😦

      • Thanks for all the help, The miles work if you plot a to b to c, I think last week was the same if you plotted each clue but it ended to soon the radius is to big from Canada to Pennsylvania, I thinking patriotic and horses Mt. Washington NH. or Paul Revere in concord MA. I live on the MA. NH. border so if is close I’ll go. After the race I would like to talk to you about Masonic Temples thanks again Ed.

  9. It seems like if all the boots would have put $100 in a pot, you could have gone out and got a new one and raffeled it off

Thank U Steven, & Good nite
