375-mile clue
Solution: Schroon Lake, NY (Adirondack Marathon)
Note: We also see, on the bibs 87 (a reference to I-87 and 74, the road that runs east past Eagle Lake and to the Ti Ferry.
Apparently, this is the final online clue. The “final” clue is essentially the physical sign, already found.
25-mile radius? No.
Also, after the 375-mile clue is solved, we see:

Correction by Dodge on Twitter: When you solve the 5th clue vid it gets you within 375 miles of the Journey, not 25 as was written. More to come. Stay tuned.
Physical Clue, across Ti Ferry in VT
As reported earlier (bejones, 2:24pm), across the Ti Ferry into VT on 74, just before turning south on 73, a sign that reads:
This isnt the end
Its only the beginning
We cant wait to share
Where we went next
the journey is within 350 miles from here
Picture of the same (provide by Doreen Lyon, @jaredlyon’s Mom, on the hunt)
400-mile clue
Solution: Friends Lake, Chestertown, NY
425-mile clue
Solution: Lake George, NY (Queen of American Lakes)
450-mile clue
Solution: Saratoga Springs, NY
500-mile clue
Solution: Albany, NY
Other clues:
Wild West Ranch, Lake George NY
Notes: Are the (missing) letters a clue?
Google street view to verify:
Eagle Lake, NY
Intersection – 74 and 73, across from Ferry, heading toward Mt Independence (south)
Google street view to verify:
From the other side, moving away from the ferry, approaching the intersection (note fish on pole):
Advanced clues (9/23, 10:00pm)
Picture #1 – Malta Drive In Theater, Malta, NY

Notes: The Dodge Journey is north bound (and the bikes are there, just blurred because of the Journey’s speed)
Could this be a reference to Paradox, NY? Paradox Lake? Conflicting directions as a Paradox? Pair of Docks?
Confirming shot:

Picture #2 – Ticonderoga Ferry

Confirming shot:
And for direction (VT side, looking towards NY):

We sent 2 pics to various sites. If posted and you can find them, they won’t lead to the car, but they’ll get you started (9/23, 21:12)

There is an area that I found days ago on the Northeast corner of Paradox Lake with two clearings divided by a stand of trees. It is also near a mountain bike trail head. If you look in that photo you can see him taking the bike off in an open area, but in the right hand side of the screen there is another clearing through the trees. I believe the shot of them taking the mountain bikes off of the Journey is from this location. Since it is almost contest time, I figured that I would finally share with the group. I think the Paradox reference ties to this puzzle and not to the differences in direction that Dodge seems to be using to confuse everyone. Again, I’m an armchair player like many others, or am I….that’s a paradox. Are all my posts really just red herrings, did I really figure out the efix data and the lat/long of where the picture was taken??? LOL!

I don’t think anyone has mentioned that the very 1st scene in the original video is at Eagle lake = and they are going east? The order in the 1st video is:
1) eastbound at Eagle lake
2) vermont sign
3) new york bridge
4) uncle sam going north on 9
Does this point to a different start point, maybe paradox lake? They go down to NY city, then back up north. Maybe they end where theey started, paradox lake? Wouldn’t that be a hoot!

Hi John. See my first post on the East search clues: http://stevenbarley.net/2011/09/15/dodge-journey-search-east/ They are, in fact, traveling west by Eagle Lake. With this search, unlike the others, they have given us three conflicting directions. Cheers!

actually in the new video for the 500 mile clue, they go east past Eagle Lake first and then it looks like they turn around and go back west at some point

Hi Steve,
Yes, I see the car is blurry too. But, the spot above it is blurred at the same rate, if you will. Now, in the video, we can see the two bike shadows following the car’s roof line. So, either they are photochopped out or the camera resolution is not great enough to pick them up at speed.

Maybe – but from the site : “Fortunately, the Calvin Coolidge Homestead and village received no structural damage during this current storm. However, due to road and bridge closures and power lines down, the site is temporarily closed until further notice.”

Temporarily closed to public? Might be the perfect hiding place 🙂 You can see older wagon wheels, etc., in clue #2. Those would be included in a historic barn display.

It’s the turn from 74 to 73S… in VT…. right after the ferry….. If you go to 3668-4330 Vermont 74 Shoreham, VT 05770 on google maps you can look back at the turn…

I agree. Look at the fish as well.

Good eye spotting the fish on the utility pole… I’ve noticed the images from the Dodge videos are always zoomed in much more than how things appear on street view but that’s definitely it

And don’t forget. You can switch to hi-res 1080i on these videos. The fish pole is the right intersection. Verified from the other direction.

I just sent my husband down that road. On google maps there doesn’t seem to be a barn when you virtually drive down the road a ways… I’ll update soon on what he thinks. He’s got one other location near there that my brother thinks he should look at again (he did a quick drive by and didn’t see anything the first time).
