Physical Clues (in World Wide World)

Final location of the Dodge Journey (East):

16 Donut Point Ln.
Tenants Harbor, ME 04860

Final clue: Kenniston Realty in Rockland, ME

Message from phone call (paraphrased, courtesy of Spencer):

Good job, there will be no more clues.  You are within 15 miles of the Journey.

Main Street Prison Showroom -> Angeliques (Antiques) Thomaston, ME

(courtesy of Tobias)

Message from phone call (paraphrased, courtesy of Spencer):

Nice work. Be careful who share this number with. 99% of the people that are hoping to find the Journey, think they can find it from their easy chair. So, don’t undo all own your hard work.

The lands you will be traveling to will have many beautiful properties where you would like to park your Journey.  Look under the first rock.  One will stand out.  If you see it, give the owner a call.

Solution: Continue traveling north along Rte 1 to Rockland, ME and find Kenniston Realty.

Discussion: “The first (rock)” may be a reference to The First, a bank in Rockland along Rte 1, but before Kenniston Realty. This may have confirmed the direction. As this clue was paraphrased, it may have, in fact, been worded as “Look beyond the first rock.”

Red’s Eats at Wiscasset, ME -> Sign Store on Water Street for a clue in the window:

Message from phone call:

Nice work. First things first. Be careful who share this number with. 99% of the people that are hoping to find the Journey, think they can find it from their easy chair. So, don’t undo all own your hard work.

Blend in with the locals as you head north … check out some woodworking made by hard labor.

Or Better yet. We hear antiquing is huge around here, so why not do some window shopping. There’s one in particular that’s named after the owner whose name also rhymes with what she sells. In the window, you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Solution: Travel further north along RTE 1 to Thomaston, ME and Main Street Prison Showroom, then Angeliques (Antiques)

LIVE Feed Clues

  • The Dodge “guy” hangs a ME life preserver
  • The Dodge “guy” eats  a lobster roll (not long after the “last” online clue) while sitting on a red seat 🙂

Message: Congratulations on getting this far but we can’t hold your hand for ever. This will be the last clue you’ll be able to get online. The rest will all require you get out into the real world. Head north and stop when you see the red seats. A few doors north from there, look for a sign.

Solution: Travel further north on Rte 1, to Red’s Eats in Wiscasset, ME [red s/eats]

  1. The only reservation I have about the red barn on the marina is the lack of noise (and wind). Disturbing.

Can anyone make out what is says on the life preserver in the live feed under the ME.

Does that say Rockland? Has this been discussed?

  2. If you go to Rockport, Maine which is 25 miles East of the last clue (which was Journeys End boat narbor which is in Penobscot Bay (website actually says its not the end of the journey, its the beginnign) then go to Reds Eats (famous Lobster shack in Rockport) – then head a few doors north and look for the sign you’ll see “Route 1”. If you go North on route 1 and go 300 miles you’ll just barely be in canada… but at the end of route 1 is Fort Peck, and Monument Park (287 Miles away) so its approx…. Along the way you’d see another “Eagle Lake” and another “Acadia park”. It is the “beginning of the end” of the longest East Coast highway that runs all the way to Key West (the furthest southern point in the US). If thats not it, then I would be surprised – but it sure sounds logical. Wish I was near maine, but live outside DC and have no hope of getting there. If someone else actually finds it there because this happens to work out it will be 2 days of searching “well spent”.

  3. Ahhh…. the good ol’ days when the clues were easy and straight forward like HWY 283…. the truck has 283 horse power…. oh highway 283 goes to Dodge City and there is a small National Park there… oh no brainer…. now we are looking at chickens…. LOL

  4. it looks to me like there is a big white truck backed up to the door….kinda like the one in the crew photo Steven showed us a couple of days ago…… i wish i could freeze frame that live feed and blow that area up high rez

  5. Still in the game here but I’m stuck. Not heading to Journeys End because there’s been no connection to the phone clue and going deeper 40 mins to be one of hundreds wandering around looking at this blog on their iPhone for the next step doesn’t sound like a great idea.
I’m going to sit and think on this phone clue. Not sold on eats or seats anymore.

    • I think going to Red’s Eats and then the red seats is the right thing to find the sign. It include’s the phone clue and the red chair clue. Just to the east of Red’s Eats (maybe 100 feet) across a little road, not paved and (not named )and RR tracks are red hexagonal bench/table seats. That little road goes north and it’s not paved so street view doesn’t follow, but there’s only maybe five individual places on the west side of that little road.

  6. It is possible that the sign, a few doors north of “the red seats/eats”, will say … now go here (and it had better be an address, no more clues, there’s been enough exploring)

    • Gotcha Paul – don’t jump to a barn. You need to find “the red seats/easts/whatever” then a few doors down, find the sign – the sign may tell you where to go next … but if you can find the red seats/eats, and then a sign, you may not be in the right place. Best of luck!

  7. has anyone actually confirmed the message as red eat’s or red seats? i think we need to go back to that because if that isn’t correct you won’t see a sign to lead you to the next clue. i am not on the ground so i can’t physically look but seems important to confirm. he was sitting on a red seat eating a lobster roll, but the red eat’s place doesn’t have red seats….

  8. I’m throwing this out to whoever before I got to leave this party – My guess is Gilsland Farm, just north of Portland ME on Hwy1 and off Providence Ave. Why? From (Ralph) Gilles, just subtract a few letters (we’ve seen that already) to get to Gils-land. And from the Leo LaPorte reference – born in Providence RI… Oh, if I wasn’t 3,000 miles away.

  9. The barn looks staged to me, but I think it really was a horse barn at one time. Look through the life preserver. See how the vertical wooden post looks chewed on the edges? When horses are locked up in stalls, they get bored and chew on wood. It’s called cribbing. The damage looks just like that. The stall fronts are gone, but the Journey is backed into a stall.

    • im not sure we are getting a good reflection from the actual headlight…could be distorted by the light used to highlight the car, or distorted by internal shape of headlight reflector…might be better to use the reflection in bumber/fender area

@big dizzle why did you bring up the clue..”the first…..east of the mississippi”? That would lead to Acadia National Park.

Does anyone know the answer to this? I thought it was the physical clue sign … down from the red seats. Am I wrong?
