I’ll be updating this page as information becomes available for the continuation of the Dodge Journey (East) search starting Sunday morning at 9am.

Be safe. Be courteous. Buckle up and drive carefully. Remember, there can only be one winner. Enjoy the adventure and make some memories. Cheers and Best of luck!

Physical Clues (in World Wide World)

Final location of the Dodge Journey (East):

16 Donut Point Ln.
Tenants Harbor, ME 04860

Final clue: Kenniston Realty in Rockland, ME

Message from phone call (paraphrased, courtesy of Spencer):

Good job, there will be no more clues.  You are within 15 miles of the Journey.

Main Street Prison Showroom -> Angeliques (Antiques) Thomaston, ME

(courtesy of Tobias)

Message from phone call (paraphrased, courtesy of Spencer):

Nice work. Be careful who share this number with. 99% of the people that are hoping to find the Journey, think they can find it from their easy chair. So, don’t undo all own your hard work.

The lands you will be traveling to will have many beautiful properties where you would like to park your Journey.  Look under the first rock.  One will stand out.  If you see it, give the owner a call.

Solution: Continue traveling north along Rte 1 to Rockland, ME and find Kenniston Realty.

Discussion: “The first (rock)” may be a reference to The First, a bank in Rockland along Rte 1, but before Kenniston Realty. This may have confirmed the direction. As this clue was paraphrased, it may have, in fact, been worded as “Look beyond the first rock.”

Red’s Eats at Wiscasset, ME -> Sign Store on Water Street for a clue in the window:

Message from phone call:

Nice work. First things first. Be careful who share this number with. 99% of the people that are hoping to find the Journey, think they can find it from their easy chair. So, don’t undo all own your hard work.

Blend in with the locals as you head north … check out some woodworking made by hard labor.

Or Better yet. We hear antiquing is huge around here, so why not do some window shopping. There’s one in particular that’s named after the owner whose name also rhymes with what she sells. In the window, you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Solution: Travel further north along RTE 1 to Thomaston, ME and Main Street Prison Showroom, then Angeliques (Antiques)

  1. HUH, dodge won’t let me post on youtube. Probably because I was part of what busted up the midwest and the cheating that was allowed. But they sure made this east coast hard.

Do we have confirmation of where the 2nd telephone number came from? The location???

  5. [Just a quick request. DO NOT post that phone number (from the second clue) We’re not the only ones here or tuned in and have to keep it fair. Thank you]

  6. I’m having trouble confirming this, but it looks like Shady Lady Antiques in Wiscasset is owned by a woman named Monique. Antique..Monique- it rhymes. Perhaps it can be confirmed by someone actually at the shop?

So you are looking for a feminine name of a shop that would rhyme with what is inside for sale – like casket and basket, or clower and flower. But think antiques – they gave that clue.

Drive due north from the point of the last clue. It may not be “in” Wicasett, but further north!

      GO GO GO GO GO!!!!

  7. How this is running now is similar to how all three of these should have been run from the start – fun for those on the ground and here at home. I would like any future contest to sort of require some assistance from a base.

  8. STEVEN please read this.

I was literally blocked from the Dodge discussion feed on my Youtube account because I was giving out clues leading very close to the Journey.

I was looking at some of the tweets from Dodge and I noticed something odd… Right before the first clue was unveiled, they sent out this tweet:

“Gather your search party and stock up on beef jerky. The East coast #JourneySearch begins tomorrow at 12PM EDT. YouTube.com/dodge”

Nothing too weird. But then… After the fifth clue, and some time, I noticed this second tweet (in response to someone’s picture of their “dinner”, a piece of bread and peanut butter)

“Hmm. Add some beef jerky? @prestondabbs Dinner. #JourneySearch http://t.co/eqg5cjUU

So I thought I saw ‘beef jerky’ twice, and sure enough I was right. So I figure this has to be some sort of clue. So then, I started searching for beef jerky companies. I found Smith’s Log Smokehouse (http://logsmokehouse.net/). It’s apparently a semi-popular beef products store/company in rural Maine. I checked their contact us page, and saw that they are in Monroe, ME. I added this to the end of the route that Steven had compiled from the slideshow pictures, and Monroe, Maine is very close to 500 miles from the original starting point. So then I was thinking, since the other two were in state/national park areas, is there any place like this near Monroe? Sure enough, I found a tiny blip on the map: Swan Lake State Park. I checked Google Maps with satellite imagery to try to find the building/barn that the car could be in, and I think it might very well be this: http://g.co/maps/8jkhv . Every location except for the last two is from imagery from the slideshows or official clues.
