I’m a fan of treasure hunts, both armchair and physical, and have participated in:
- NBC Treasure Hunters
- A Treasure’s Trove
- Secrets of Alchemist Dar
- Perplex City
- Puzzletome.com – great puzzling site
- Ravenchase – physical hunts involving codes and ciphers
If you enjoy that sort of thing, visit:
- Tweleve.org – Probably the best single resource for hunts and contest of all sorts.
Cheers!

hello, I found the photo that you were told was in Addison or Panton, VT . Go to google maps, Eagle Lake, NY which is on the route from I-87 to the ferry. Find the bridge on the western side and put street view just east of the bridge and look in the SE direction. You can see the shape of hill and the shelter just on the edge of the pic.

Hi Kevin. You’re absolutely correct. I even found the “vacation” picture that someone was passing along a few days ago. There’s a Panoramio option in the south lake. Perhaps a ruse. Originally, l checked this out but didn’t more google street view far enough west along 74. Many thanks!

This is going to be a weekend for my hubby and I to reconnect….over a weekend scavenger hunt game. The 1 and 3 yr old are precious, but sometimes you just need some adventure between the parents and some time together to really have a memorable and fun couples weekend. This will be our anniversary money, should we come up. Hopefully it pays off, but I think the adventure would pay off either way. š

Hello all you chasers! Wendi in Dallas here and I was sooo upset that I saw the Dodge Commercial for the hunt and then went to the website, the day AFTER the #2 one was found just north of me in Oklahoma! What a bummer! But that day I thought indepth about what I would’ve done if I had been able to join in the fun! Since I couldn’t, here’s my suggestion to those who have a little extra cash and and HUGE desire to find it…I am a private pilot. In order for me to rent a plane, it’s about $85/hour wet (with fuel included), and then just follow the clues. Legally you can fly at around 2,000 which gives you a literal “birds-eye” view of what’s below you. I’m quite sure it will once again be RED, so it should stick out like a sore thumb sitting all by it’s self (well with a few camera’s for the crew to capture the moment with!!!) If you were so inclined, you could go rent a plane and a pilot for about $100-$150 an hour and just go find it!!! You’d enjoy some incredible scenery in the process, and who knows for under $500, you might just get lucky!!!

Paradox is a movie from 2010, so they may have done that to get u to think of Paradox, NY

the slideshow had a farm house with a horse crossing sign in front of it. If u go to Orwell, VT at the intersection of 73 and 22A, go a couple hundred feet east on 73 (first house by the road), i think that is the sign and the house.

Steve,
Had a great time with all of you yesterday along the Journey trail. I do web design and Server Hardware support. I would love to work with you on future projects or hunts if you are interested…It was a lot of fun and I have not felt so competitive (and exhausted) as I did yesterday in quite some time. I love puzzles and treasures etc. Let me know if you’d be willing to do something more in the future with the puzzles and treasure hunting you do.
Regards,
Paul Rousey

Hi Paul. I bet you had a great night’s sleep š You were definitely in the thick of the hunt, monitoring your progress, and contributing, in whatever way possible. (Many of us will never look at “red seats” the same … LOL)
But more importantly, you were out there exploring, and made some great memories. I’ll definitely keep you mind and stay in touch on future endeavors. Cheers!

BTW – I had to switch over to FB to check out your avatar. We pulled it out last night. Indy-D brought it to us, but a win is a win.

Yes we pulled it out but I had to DVR it since I passed out literally half way through my dinner salad during the 1st quarter last score I saw consciously was 10-13. I am signing up at Tweleve.org right now. Too bad I can’t make a career out of treasure hunting because it was a blast.

SB- Hey! Do you mind my asking what your avatar on tweleve is?

HI AmyElizabeth. I’m actually working on getting that sorted out. Throughout NBC Treasure Hunters, and my migration to Tweleve.org (and still on Puzzletome), I used T_Hunter or t_hunter (Treasure Hunter). I haven’t been on Tweleve for several years, went back to check and found that they upgraded the forum, importing former user names. So now my user name is “imported_T_Hunter” and someone now has my old one š¦
I need to give some thought on a new one … I’ll check in with you after I get this sorted out. Cheers!

Hey Steve thanks so much for all your info and help! It was so much fun playing online and out in the “real world”. I hope they do another one! If they do want to be my teammate? LOL I was wondering if you have any info on Mike the Dodge guy? Like twitter facebook? Just curious? Thanks so much again. You are so smart. I spent hours trying figure out clues then I found your page and you had everything and more so much quicker! I don’t know how you did it š I’ve been visiting your page everyday many times a day for the last 3 or 4 days before the east search now I don’t know what to do with myself LOL. I’ll miss your page Steve!! Tee hee. Take Care! Thanks again š
